About this webinar:

About the Webinar Enigma Canine Scent Walks is a structured outdoor scent work training programme designed to provide dogs and handlers with a purposeful activity built around scent. Unlike an ordinary dog walk, Scent Walks follows a defined training system, allowing instructors to introduce scent work in an accessible outdoor setting while developing the dog’s engagement with the activity. In this free introductory webinar, Alexandra Butler, founder of Enigma Canine, introduces the Scent Walks programme and explains how instructors can incorporate it into the services they offer their clients. What You’ll Discover * What the Enigma Canine Scent Walks programme is and how it differs from an ordinary dog walk. * The purpose and structure of Scent Walks as a recreational scent work activity. * How Scent Walks can complement other canine training activities. * The opportunities for instructors to offer structured Scent Walks sessions to their clients. * An introduction to the Scent Walks Instructor Course. * How to begin your journey towards becoming an Enigma Canine Scent Walks Instructor. Who Is This Webinar For? This webinar is suitable for dog trainers, scent work instructors, dog walkers and other canine professionals interested in expanding the activities and training opportunities they offer. Whether you already teach scent work or are exploring a new addition to your services, this webinar introduces the Enigma Canine Scent Walks system and the instructor training available. Meet your Instructor

Meet Alexandra Butler I’m Alexandra Butler, founder of Enigma Canine, with almost 20 years of experience in canine scent work, including operational and recreational training. My background in policing and extensive experience across Mantrailing, Tracking and Scent Detection have shaped the way I approach training and education. I believe effective scent work training begins with understanding the dog and the chemical information available to them. Rather than simply teaching a collection of exercises, my focus is on helping instructors understand why we train in particular ways, how dogs learn and how to analyse the information each training session provides. Through Enigma Canine, I have developed a comprehensive range of instructor courses designed to bring together scientific understanding and practical application. My aim is to give instructors the knowledge and skills to make informed training decisions, develop their own understanding and deliver effective scent work training to their clients.
